GRAND H / Little H
It was at Midem 1987 where industry veteran Hille Hillekamp met long-time business friend Jacques Marbehant, who eventually gave him a song, that he signed as his very first copyright for his own publishing company Grand H Music: Pierre Cosso, the famous filmstar of the 80s, with “Live Your Life”, which went on to become a top ten hit in Germany.
During the 90s, Hillekamp’s publishing companies Grand H Music and Little H Music were representing hits like “Ride On Time” and “Everybody, Everybody” by Black Box, Corona’s “Rhythm Of The Night”, ICE MCs “Think About The Way” and Gala’s “Freed From Desire”. Hille Hillekamp also managed to acquire the catalogue of Canadian rockband SAGA. It was during this period where Hillekamp also had great successes with Phil Coulter, Seal and Robert Miles’ worldwide trance-hit “Children”.
Long-time friends and partners in Italy such as Do It Yourself (Gala) IRMA Records (Jestofunk), DiPiu (David Guetta, Sandy Wilhelm), Extravaganza (Corona, Ice MC), Ipnotika (Holly Dolly), Edinet and Qwick accounted for several more hits throughout the years.
In the years 2010 and 2011, Hillekamp enjoyed his best years in terms of chart performance in Germany, Switzerland and Austria. The company was present in the top 10 every week for almost two years due to hits by Rihanna, Katy Perry, David Guetta, Pitbull or Berlin’s own DIE ATZEN. International hits like “Wicked Wonderland” by Martin Tungevaag would follow and international hit songwriter Vincent De Giorgio became part of Grand H’s international network.
In 2016 Grand H had their biggest chart success yet with “Die Immer Lacht” by Stereoact feat. Kerstin Ott, which went on to become the most successful German song in 2016 with over 100 Million YouTube clicks and the first diamond award in Germany! With these great successes in the past, the company is looking forward to the future. As of January 2017, Hille Hillekamp’s son Adrian joined the company and is in charge of further developing new artists, songwriters, and producers.
